Submit animated films to NEW CHITOSE 2022 competition
How does it work? (Short / Feature)
Note: There is a possibility to screen the films online depending on the spread of COVID-19, however, films that cannot be screened online are also eligible for submission. The availability of online screening will not affect the selection process nor results.
Make sure your film is online on Youtube, Vimeo, GoogleDrive etc. Prepare the web link to the film (URL) and password. (Note: Submit a preview link of the whole film, not a trailer.) VR submissions must be with a URL link to a VR build file. Films with languages other than Japanese or English must have English subtitles at the time of submission. For films with Japanese, English subtitles must be provided if they pass the primary selection.
Prepare synopsis and a director’s profile. If the film has an English dialogue or an English subtitle, prepare an English dialogue list.
Prepare 1 to 3 images from the film and a director’s photo.
Choose the film category from below. Feature film: over 30 minutes, Short film: under 30 minutes
In the case of 360° or VR films, choose the category “Short film”.Complete the information requested in the form.
Confirm your registration. You will receive a confirmation by email.

Submissions for Short films and Feature films are accepted only via the Online Submission Form or FilmFreeway. Choose the category you want to submit your film to.
